Interworld is the story of Joey Harker, a young man with no sense of direction yet can walk through the myriad of worlds that make up the altiverse. Every time a major decision is made a new version of the universe is created, one where the decision was made continues on and another with the path not taken. Best guess is that there are trillions of alternate universes. Each Joey Harker in those universes, whether boy, girl, or cybernetic adaptation has the ability to "walk" the In-Between and travel from universe to universe. Some of these alternate universes are low on the technological end and have a form of magic (HEX) and some are high on the scale and excel in science complete with lasers and liquid metal type suits (BINARY). Each is trying to conquer the other and take over the entire altiverse. The one group standing in their was is a group of various Joey Harkers.
Don't worry. It's not as complicated as it sounds. It was actually a really fun read by two great and creative minds.

Book review - Storm Front (The Dresden Files #1) by Jim Butcher
If you like detective fiction with a twist, then this is a good book. Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden is a private detective in Chicago. He's tall, messy and has a habit of making electronic devices go haywire. Harry is also a wizard. The book is sort of Sherlock Holmes meets Harry Potter.
If you've seen the SciFi channel series "The Dresden Files", then you have a bit of the idea behind the books that the show was based on....but just a very little bit. Storm Front is darker, grittier and more angsty by far than the TV series. I would have preferred more back story so I knew, beyond his one youthful indiscretion related to a violation in the laws of magic use.
It was an enjoyable read and a series where I may pick up another if my stack of reading gets low enough.
Book review - Atomic Lobster (Serge Storms Mystery #10) by Tim Dorsey
Atomic Lobster was my first Tim Dorsey book. The story starts a little slow but does pick up the pace as the lives of the characters begin to intermingle. I found this to be an enjoyable read and will grab another of the Dorsey books as my stack of reading gets lower. If you like wacky characters and a Florida setting and don't mind a little sex and drug use then this is a good book.
Book review - LMNO Peas by Keith Baker
This book was awesomely adorable! A book about peas? You betcha. The book not only teaches children about the alphabet but also occupations related to each letter. The illustrations are perfect and really cute. Keep a close eye out for all the different peas. I read it twice and discovered lots of fun stuff I missed the first time around.
Book review - Eight Great Planets!: A Song About the Planets (Science Songs) by Laura Purdie Salas, Sergio De Giorgi (Illustrator)
So now I have the Thumbkin song stuck in my head.
This was a fun book to read. You get to learn about the planets and reading to the tune of the Thumbkin song really helps you remember.
